There is something
for everyone!

Have you or your group been thinking about volunteering but did not quite know how to start? Well, you came to the right place:

The Nassau County Volunteer Center is a North Florida non-profit community agency funded in part by the United Way of Northeast Florida. We link people who wish to serve as volunteers to agencies that can utilize your existing skills.

Volunteering is great for any newcomer to the area who would like to get to know and be part of our community. It is also perfect for anyone who would like to learn new skills.

Let us put you to work!
  "One thing I know,
the only ones among you
who will be truly happy are
those who have sought
and found how to serve.
"
-Albert Schweizer-
        "You give but little
when you give of your possessions.
It is when you give of
yourself that
you truly give."
-Kahil Gibran-

Become part of
our SkillBank program..
.

People with a wide variety of skills make up our SkillBank volunteers. A volunteer with an area of expertise donates time on an as-needed or per-job basis. You may be called upon two or three times a year to share your skills with your fellow citizens.

Don't Be Modest!
Don't hide your light under a bushel! Let us know what you know! (Contact us!)

If you have the time...
Many opportunities exist to volunteer on a regular basis. In these positions you'll help children, adults, the handicapped, animals, the handicapped, ill or infirm.

Allow us to help you find your perfect way to help others.

...even if it is just for an hour, a day, a week, a month, or a year. Any time you can give is precious to those in need.

Did you know...

Volunteer clowns entertain thousands of children every year at special events countywide. This is just one of the many offerings from the Nassau County Volunteer Center's SkillBank program

Volunteers deliver more than 19,000 meals throughout the county annually. Many of the volunteers are Nassau County Volunteer Center group placements.

Last year, Nassau County Volunteer Center individual ongoing placements contributed more than 14,254 hours to help make Nassau County a better place to live.

Think about it...

You may belong to a club or organization or work at a corporation that wants to form a community service group.

The Nassau County Volunteer Center can help you find a way for your group to get involved

No Time to Volunteer?

You still can help. Donate to the Nassau County Volunteer Center. We rely on the generosity of people for the community to help transform people's passion into action.
