        Nassau County, Florida Volunteer Center, in partnership with 340 Nassau Girl Scouts, collected 478 pounds of PB&J = 2,400 sandwiches.  
       
  • Recruits over 3.500 volunteers each year for long and short term projects in the non-profit community.
  • Through the Center's Non-profit Leadership Institute sponsors 3 - 5 workshop each year for local non-profit staff and board members.
  • Maintains a Community Information and Referral Service
  • Publishes quarterly "Volunteer Visions" newsletter which is distributed to over 3600 annually.
  • Coordinates annual Holiday Adopt-A-Family project. In 2008/9 it served 300 families, 860 clients, 550 of which were children.
  • Administers distribution of special FEMA funds to local non-profit agencies.
  • Sponsors a Corporate Volunteer Council to provide community service opportunities for employees. The projects include G.O.K.I.D.S. school supplies.
  • Hosts annual "The Taste of Amelia" a culinary fair fundraiser for the Center.
  • Hosts an annual Volunteer Awards Luncheon.
  • Co-sponsors Volunteer Awards with Rayonier, Town of Hilliard, City of Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island/Nassau Association of Realtors, and Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation.
  • Sponsors several food drives throughout the year for local non-profit agencies.
  • Provides free notary services for non-profit agencies.
  • Gift In Kind donation program for non-profit agencies.
  • Provides clothing, phones, office equipment, school supplies, furniture to non-profit agencies.
  • Is a Voter Registration Site for the Nassau County residents.
  • Is a Distribution Center for Prescription Drug Cards for Nassau County residents
