A Corporate Volunteer Council (CVC) is a group of companies who have a volunteer program for their employees or are interested in developing a program. The council is composed of representatives of these companies and is sponsored and staffed by the Nassau County Volunteer Center
It makes good business sense to be part of the CVC.
Your company can join the ranks of the fine and respected corporate citizens. Contact the Volunteer Center or simply complete the on-line sign up form on this page.
- To exchange information about corporate volunteer programs among the companies, assisting those who wish to initiate programs.
- To provide a forum for companies to learn about needs fro volunteers and the resources in the community.
- To provide a way for member companies to work jointly on community needs or problems.
The CVC is sponsored by the Nassau County Volunteer Center, whose mission is to mobilize people and resources through the promotion of volunteerism and deliver creative solutions to community problems.
CVC Projects:
Youth: Last year over $12,000 was collected in donations and school supplies which was distributed to 16 schools for needy students.
Community: 124 volunteers participated in Shrimp Festival float preparation and parade. Over 200 senior citizens attended the "Taste of Italy" Senior Dinner.
To participate is easy. Simply complete the following on-line sign up form and we'll get your company started. There is a $25 annual participation fee per company. You will receive a confirmation and invoice with payment instructions once we receive application.
