Volunteer Visions Spring 2015
Sponsored by Rayonier

Volunteer Center Happenings:

The 30th Annual Volunteer Awards Luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 16. 2015 at the Atlantic Avenue Recreation Center. Over 400 guests from nonprofit, civic, governmental, and businesses organizations will gather over lunch to honor Nassau County volunteers.

This year’s theme is “The Pearls of our Community -- Volunteers.” Pearl is the gemstone for every 30th anniversary celebration, and our volunteers are certainly gems! Special awards to recognize outstanding volunteers will be given by the City of Fernandina Beach (Elsie Harper Awards), the Board of County Commission of Nassau County, the Town of Hilliard, the Amelia Island/Nassau County Association of Realtors, the Greater Nassau Chamber of Commerce, the Fernandina Beach Optimist Club, RockTenn, and Rayonier Advanced Materials.

The Volunteer Center, in partnership with the Fernandina Beach Committee of the Callahan Lions Club, continues to collect used eyeglasses and sunglasses for repair and recycling to those in need. Please drop off any of these at the Volunteer Center when you can.
